Foxtails may look harmless, but these grass-like plants can cause serious medical problems due to their barbed seed heads. Recently, a patient was seen at our Murrieta location to have five foxtails removed out of one eye.

If you take your dog on a hike or to the park, keep them out of overgrown grassy areas and check their body after to see if they have any foxtails on them.
