Alexia, William, Leo, Penelope, and Lilie - Oncology Lead Technician
My dogs are everything to me, sometimes when things get so hectic and crazy they remind me to slow down and just appreciate the small things. They are my peace and tranquillity. They have taught me so much I could never imagine a life without my babies ❤️ Pictured: Alexia, her fiance, William, and their puppies: the greyhound is Leo, the pitty is Penelope, and the Shih Tzu mix is Lilie

Danielle and Copper - Carlsbad RVT -
While I was in college, my Golden Retriever, Copper, was diagnosed with bone cancer at only 7 years old. His journey through fighting and surviving cancer solidified my plan to work with in the veterinary field and created a passion for working with pets with cancer. He was my heart dog for almost 13 years and truly made me the person I am today 💜 Working with pet cancer patients is my calling and I feel that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

Dr. Blincoe and Gatsby - Carlsbad
This is my handsome boy Gatsby. He was brought to the clinic at my first veterinary job as a tiny baby kitten and I bottle-fed and raised him! Today he is a cranky old man but still loves to cuddle!

Dr. Blincoe and Wendy - Carlsbad
Wendy is my first dog ever! I love coming home and she's laying on the couch waiting for me and just she gives the cutest tail wag- no matter what time I get home!

Dr. Hoggan and “Liss” is in my arms, “Tinker” is is to my left, “Spooner” is behind - Murrieta Medical Director
I am my truest self when I am with my animals. I feel, calm, happy, and loved. Every pet in my life is a rescue- we help each other to remember what we have been through and how lucky we are now!

Javier and Tigger - Murrieta RVT
He's my happiness, headache, and drama queen, but love him to death and wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Jenny and Milana – Ontario CSR
Milana is very curious and would rather be around her people than other horses. She is super smart and she understands my voice commands so well that if I give a lesson on her, I’ve had to change my commands since she learned “walk”, “trot” and “lope”. She learned how each is spelled and would rather listen to me than her rider.
She is very bonded to me because her mother cared for her, but had no interest ‘dealing’ with a naughty baby. Milana has done everything and anything with me, if I open the trailer she will beat me there so she can go out on an adventure. I can jump on her bareback after it rains so that she will walk me through any mud or puddles and not get my boots dirty.
I can let anyone ride her, but as soon as I walk away she will try to “prank” or tease anyone who is new.

Jenny and Whiskey – Ontario CSR
This is my horse Whiskey. He means the world to me because I raised him and have trained him to become a great horse. He does everything I ask and gives his best effort every time.

Kathleen and Tucker - Accounting Manager, Administration
Spoil my Tucker? Never! His unconditional love is priceless and he loves a puppuccino!!!

Kirissa and Felix – Carlsbad Vet Assistant, Surgery
This is Felix! Everyone deserves to have someone at home who is beyond thrilled when you walk through the door. Our pets love without condition. I think we could learn a thing or two from them. Felix is one of my favorite parts in life.

Korin and Tigerlily - Carlsbad CSR
She’s the best cuddler in the world and she’ll never let me feel sad.

Kristin and Einstein - Murrieta Referral Coordinator
This was the first day I met Einstein – at the Clear the Shelter event. Had to take him home with me.
Even though I’ve only had him for 6 months, he brightens my day with his little presence and unique personality. His sweetness and affection warms my heart. I am so happy we found him.

Melinda and B.A.F.O. - Carlsbad ER/CC Floor Lead
This is my 8-year-old ball python, B.A.F.O and I. The back story for how I ended up with a snake is a very unusual one. I've always had a fear of snakes and decided one day to overcome my fears.... a normal person would have done that by handling a snake and have been done with it, I on the other hand decided owning one was the best way to overcome my fears. An impressive 8 years later, here she is in all her glory!

Melinda and Mary Jane - Carlsbad ER/CC Floor Lead
Mary Jane is a rambunctious little girl that has little dog syndrome and makes sure her bark is heard on the regular. She means the world to me and has been my rock when times have gotten tough. She has always helped keep me cool, calm, and collected.

Olga and Roxy – Carlsbad Referral Advocate
Roxy is my little side kick and valiant guardian. Whatever the adventure, she’s enthusiastically by my side protecting me from day to day dangers like the mailman, door bell ringers, and the occasional rogue plastic bag tumbling along the pavement. My four legged shadow always insures I’m safe and in good paws. Her infinite cuddles and kisses bring me joy every single day.

Shirley and Kara - Carlsbad Vet Assistant, Surgery
Kara is very selective in whom she chooses to attach herself too. She is actually my son's cat but once he left for Army life she attached herself to me. Kara is very special to me and is a great source of comfort when days are hectic or stressful, she usually senses this and makes sure she snuggles up to me more than normal.

Stephanie and Sadie - Carlsbad RVT, Supervisor ER/CC
Sadie was the love of my life for 16 years. At that time, I had been a veterinary technician for 19 years and not even that could have prepared me for the loss of my own kitty. It’s been 5 years and I still can’t work a day in our ER without thinking about her ❤️
