Recently installed at our Murrieta location, the multi-detector CT machine has 64 detector elements, each with a resolution as low as 0.5 mm. The new scanner provides higher image quality CT scans in a fraction of the time in addition to fast and reliable 3D formatting of images.
CT scans or computed tomography scans provide a closer look at an internal body part, such as an organ, muscle, or bone helping our veterinarians diagnose or create pre-surgical treatment plans. A CT scan for pets is nearly identical to those done in humans, with the only difference being the need for pets to either be sedated or under anesthesia. This way, they remain completely still during the scan.
