About VCA California Veterinary Specialists
VCA California Veterinary Specialists (CVS) is a privately owned referral specialty and emergency practice hospital with 3 locations, one each in San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
Within our hospitals, we have specialists in emergency/critical care, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, radiology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology. We are also a teaching institution with active residency programs (ER/CC and surgery) and a popular rotating internship program. We take pride in our cohesive, collaborative work environment.
Our San Diego County hospital is located in Carlsbad, a coastal community with near-perfect weather and two world-class resorts. It supports economic development yet sets aside 40 percent of its land for open space.
It has attracted an international theme park and has become the golf capital of the world. Carlsbad has a commuter train, great bus service and the busiest single-runway airport in the nation. A great place to live, with miles of beaches, terrific shopping, and excellent schools.
Our Riverside County hospital is located in Murrieta, one of Southern California’s fastest-growing places. Murrieta is known for a mild inland climate and is in close proximity to San Diego County.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the area’s nearly 40 parks, including the 165 acre Cole Canyon Park, a nature preserve, and 46 acres Los Alamos Hills Sports Park. In addition, Murrieta is less than eight miles away from neighboring Temecula, which is home to more than 30 wineries.
Our San Bernardino County hospital is located in Ontario and is our newest hospital opening in 2011.
Locally or regionally, Ontario provides access to the best that Southern California has to offer. In less than a 1-hour drive, you can visit the beach, the mountains, local wineries, Palm Springs and even Disneyland in addition to shopping at the Ontario Mills Mall or catching a concert at the Citizen’s Business Bank Arena.
We have no open Doctor positions in Ontario at this time. We appreciate your interest and encourage you to search at our sister hospitals.
Very few veterinary practices operate as one team. Most hospitals are divided by service, system or specialists. We have a collaborative approach. That’s how we are different.
