It’s officially springtime, and that means sunshine and warmer temperatures are causing wildlife, including rattlesnakes, to be more active. Please be aware of your surroundings and watch out for your four-legged friends too.
Dr. Kimberly Boyle, board-certified emergency and critical care specialist, would like to provide you tips on if a rattlesnake bites your pet:
– Take your pet immediately to the nearest veterinary hospital
– On your way, call to let the veterinary hospital know you are coming to ensure that they have antivenin in the event that your pet needs it.
